The Seville cookware has a tri-ply design with a stainless steel cooking surface, an aluminum core, and a copper exterior. The material thickness is 2.3 mm with an aluminum core of 1.3 mm. This aluminum core functions to give off an efficient heat distribution so that the cookware can be quickly heated up and minimizes the presence of hotspots. A stainless steel interior is also common as it is hygienic and safe.  The exterior is copper with a hammered effect. Do note that the Seville series also have a different model with a stainless steel exterior instead of copper.

The lids for the Seville are stainless steel. 2 of the lids are interchangeable. The lid for the Dutch oven will fit the large fry pan while the lid for the 3-quart sauce pan will fit the smaller fry pan. The handles are also made of stainless steel and double riveted to the cookware. The pieces are oven safe up to 450°F. This Fleischer and Wolf copper cookware set is not compatible with induction cooktops due to its copper exterior and not dishwasher safe.

Pros And Cons Of The Seville Copper Cookware

If you want copper cookware, the Fleischer and Wolf Seville is one of the more affordable ones. It is cheaper than the 10-piece Lagostina tri-ply hammered stainless steel copper cookware and also far more affordable than the All Clad Copper Core. It is a beauty to look at with its hammered effect and copper exterior. It is a big change from ceramic cookware and other nonstick options as it heats up and cooks very quickly. The pots and pans are sturdy and highly durable but not too heavy, unlike a Finex cast iron cookware.

The cons are obvious. Having a copper exterior means it discolors very easily. From buyers’ Fleischer and Wolf cookware reviews for this model, the discoloration is a common complaint. Some find that the copper fades after each use and they need to constantly re-polish to maintain the looks. So, beware that this is a high maintenance cookware set if you are buying it for the looks rather than the performance. Otherwise, you are better off with a plain stainless steel cookware set like the tri-ply Calphalon Contemporary.

Other Fleischer And Wolf Cookware Sets

Apart from the Seville, the company also has various other cookware collections. The popular ones include:

Fleischer and Wolf London Series Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

The London series has a tri-ply construction and crafted with satin finish stainless steel. It also has a copper trim to make it look sleek and stand out from the competition. Like the Seville, it has an aluminum core which is encapsulated by 2 layers of stainless steel.

Unlike pots and pans with a copper exterior, this London cookware set is dishwasher safe. The oven temperature threshold limit is 450°F. The lids are stainless steel. The London series is also available in black color with matching lids.

The Fleischer and Wolf London Series Stainless Steel cookware set is beautiful for the kitchen and sturdy enough to withstand the pressure of daily use. Stainless steel is also easier to maintain compared to copper and you don’t have to worry if you need to dump the cookware into the dishwasher.

Fleischer And Wolf Athens Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set

If you don’t know how to cook with stainless steel and prefer to have nonstick cookware, then you can take a look at the Fleischer and Wolf Athens. The phenolic handles with their marble effects will make this cookware set stands out. The body is aluminum while the interior is coated with a durable black-colored nonstick coating to match the dark exterior. The lids are glass while the oven temperature threshold is lower at 350°F.

Being nonstick cookware, you will need to use it with more care to lengthen its lifespan. The best practice is to hand wash and use nylon or wooden utensils although it may be listed as dishwasher and metal utensil safe. But the advantage is cooking is easier with a nonstick pan and clean up is also a breeze when nothing sticks to the surface.

Should You Buy Fleischer And Wolf Cookware?

From going through the various models and Fleischer and Wolf cookware reviews from buyers, we feel that the brand is of good quality given the price. It is not a really exclusive brand name with a high price tag that makes it out of reach for many. Their prices are far below All Clad and closer to what you would typically get with Calphalon and Circulon. For example, the price for the Fleischer and Wolf Athens cookware set is about the same as the price of the Circulon Momentum at the time of writing.
