The 7 pieces that are included in the package are:

Constructed using 18/10 stainless steel with an encapsulated base for even heat distribution, the pots have glass lids with a steam vent. The lid for the Dutch oven does fit the fry pan.
The handles of the pans are welded to the pieces rather than riveted. The cookware is easy to clean and they can also be used on induction cooktops.
Should You Buy The Excelsteel Cookware?
Pros
- Cheap – The price can’t be beaten for a 18/10 stainless steel set. It is ideal for those not looking to spend much on a set of cookware but would still get the job done.
- Easy to clean – Soaking it in water and scrubbing will get stains off quite easily.
- Quality – The quality of the cookware is acceptable in relation to the price. It is not a solid set but it isn’t bad either. It is a set that will definitely be able to tie you over until you can afford a better one, if you choose to.
Cons
- Thin – The pieces are thinner than what you would normally get for stainless steel cookware. All the 7 pieces weigh only about 8 pounds which is pretty light. Many 7-piece sets would weigh at least 10 pounds although the size of the pieces is also a factor.
- Handles seem flimsy – The handles are flimsy and not double riveted to the pans as is the norm for most cookware.
- Burns food quickly – Because of the thin construction, food will get burnt quickly in the pan and stain the surface. You will need to use a lower heat setting to avoid this issue.
The Excelsteel Stainless Steel cookware set is not the same standard as, say the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro, so, do not expect the same quality. It is on the thin and light side but for the price that you pay, this is to be expected. What matters is that it is not a piece of junk that is unusable. It does cook well and heat up evenly and if you are careful with your heat settings, the pieces will last you for quite some time without the ugly stains.
If you are not fussy with your cookware, then there is really no reason not to give this a try. It will not last you a lifetime but you would have gotten back your money with a few years of use. Some people are more particular when it comes to their pots and pans and would demand perfection – doesn’t stain, feels solid, durable, etc. If you have the same preference, then obviously, the Excelsteel is not the right cookware for you.
This set is more for those who just want something that can cook well enough without worrying about how it will look with the wear and tear after repeated use. There are over a hundred reviews on Amazon for this cookware and most are complimentary. That proves that cheap does not necessarily mean junk. It can still serve you well and there would be less risk of disappointment if you have a reasonable expectation of its quality vis-a-vis the price.
