It is pre-programmed to make life easier for those who have a hectic lifestyle and have neither the time nor inclination to tinker with different settings to get their meals prepared. I wouldn’t mind relying on the pre-programmed settings as I’m sure the modes would have been carefully calibrated and tested by professional chefs to give delicious results each time. However, you can also switch to a manual mode if you are an experienced user or prefer to experiment with your recipes.
One mode that deserves a special mention is the Sterilize mode. Mothers with babies will find this useful because you can use the pressure cooker to sterilize baby bottles and jars apart from just cooking. Even if you don’t have a baby at home, this mode is not exactly redundant. You can still use it to pasteurize milk and perform certain types of canning.
Auto Pressure Release
In terms of safety, there is an auto pressure release feature. Some people may have worries that pressure cookers are a danger because of the steam build-up which can accuse serious injuries. Stainless Steel
Overall, the cooker will look good sitting on my countertop. It has a brushed stainless steel exterior which matches a lot of my other kitchen appliances and even my pots and pans. The inner pot is also made of stainless steel which means I can put it into the dishwasher rather than having to hand wash it each time.
Recipe Book
Even if you are a good cook, you might run out of ideas at times. Therefore, a recipe book is always welcomed for those days when you are just struggling to come up with ideas for dinner or even dessert. Of course, we can always Google for recipes but I find it convenient to be able to just thumb through the book to find something that I like. Furthermore, the recipes provided together with the Duopro Plus are specifically tailor-made to be cooked with a pressure cooker.
Why I Like It
The one feature that will seal the deal for me is the delayed start function. The Multi Cooker Duopro Plus allows you to delay the cooking time up to 24 hours and will also keep your food warm after cooking for a further 12 hours.
I needed this convenience because I can only prepare all the ingredients for our meals earlier in the day or the night before depending on my schedule. It will be too late to start cooking when I come home in the evening as the kids will go hungry by then. With this cooker, I can put everything into the pot and set the timer for a delayed start in the morning. By the time I come back home from work, dinner would be ready and the food remains tasty and warm.

Of course, it also needs to be reliable and can produce tasty food so that there is dinner every day for the family. The Sharff & Mueller Multi Cooker should give me what I’m looking for and I’m sure it will be one of the wisest investments that I will make for my kitchen!
